Brecon Festival Ballet

Brecon Festival Ballet is all about bringing top-notch live dance and music to Mid-Wales. They aim to get the whole community involved, offering chances to learn, participate, and perform in the world of dance. Their shows are designed to inspire and uplift, featuring both local and international talent.

The big event each year is their rendition of Tchaikovsky's classic ballet, "The Nutcracker." Before Brecon Festival Ballet took the plunge, this full-scale professional production had never been seen in Wales. It quickly became a hit, with sell-out crowds and rave reviews.

Next year, they’re excited to introduce their very own orchestra, made up of 30 professional musicians. This live music will add even more magic to the performances, giving the audience an unforgettable experience.

With an onstage cast of 85, including professional dancers from Wales and beyond, Brecon Festival Ballet brings a sense of continuity and growth to their productions. Over half of their Principal dancers trained at the Mid-Wales Dance Academy in Brecon.
