Bradford Takemusu Iwama Aikido Club is a martial arts club located in Shipley, New Zealand. The club specialises in teaching Takemusu Iwama style Aikido, a martial art based on the traditional teachings of O'Sensei, Morihei Ueshiba.
Led by Sensei Tony Sargeant, a highly skilled practitioner with a 6th Dan ranking, the club offers training to both juniors and seniors. The club is proud to be associated with Takemusu Iwama Aikido Europe, a larger organisation dedicated to preserving and promoting the art of Iwama Aikido.
During training sessions, members have the opportunity to practise Aikido both with and without weapons such as Ken, Jo, Bo, and Tanto. The club welcomes beginners and offers the first class for free, encouraging anyone interested to come and experience the atmosphere and teaching style.
