Harrow Archery Club, also known as the “Bowmen of Harrow,” is a target archery club located in Harrow, Middlesex and serving the archery community in London. The club offers a variety of archery styles including Recurve, Barebow, American Flat Bow, Longbow, and Compound bows (excluding Crossbow).
The club is fortunate to have its own purpose-built indoor range at the John Lyon School Sports Fields, which is accessible to members seven days a week. Additionally, there is an outdoor range available for long-distance shooting, although shooting times may vary.
Operated entirely by volunteers, the Bowmen of Harrow Archery Club is affiliated with Archery GB, the Southern Counties Archery Society, and the Middlesex County Archery Association. This ensures that members have access to a wider archery community and opportunities for competitions and events.
For beginners interested in archery, the club organises regular archery courses. The full beginner course spans 10 hours over four sessions, while shorter 2-hour taster sessions are also available. All courses are conducted by experienced coaches and club members, and all required equipment is provided.
Membership is open to archers who have received proper training, regardless of their background. Interested individuals can email secretary@bowmenofharrow. Uk to inquire about joining the club. The membership fee for the 2023-2024 club year is 193.

The indoor range is accessible to members throughout the week, with specific shooting times available. The club can also accommodate outdoor shooting up to a distance of 100 yards, including the necessary over shoot for compound bows.
Throughout the year, the club organises various member-only events, such as the St. George's Day shoot, the St. Crispin's Day shoot, and the outdoor Club Championships and Barbecue. The club actively participates in leagues such as the Portsmouth League (indoors), the Frostbite League (outdoors), the Worcester League (indoors) during the indoor season, and the Middlesex Short Metric League during the outdoor season.
In partnership with the John Lyon School, the club provides the indoor range for archery lessons as part of the school's sports programme. The club has a history of hosting the traditional Silver Arrow contest between John Lyon School and Harrow School and has also offered training facilities to the borough of Harrow for their London Youth Games team.
