The Huddersfield RUFC Bowling Club is excited to announce a local Lawn Bowls event that will be taking place at our facilities at Lockwood Park. If you're a passionate bowler or someone who's always been intrigued by the sport, this is an event you won't want to miss!
Our club has a long and storied history, with our Bowling Green being built way back in the early 1920s. Since then, it has been the venue for numerous bowling events and competitions at both the local and county levels. We take great pride in providing a top-notch facility for bowlers of all skill levels to enjoy.
Established in 1997, the Huddersfield RUFC Bowling Club came to life when the Rugby Club made its move to Lockwood Park. Since then, our club has continued to grow and flourish, now boasting a total of nine fantastic teams. We have men's, ladies, and mixed teams that compete in various leagues across the Huddersfield, Colne Valley, and Brighouse areas.
We warmly welcome new members with open arms, regardless of their bowling abilities. Whether you're a seasoned pro or a complete beginner, our club is the perfect place for you to improve your skills, make new friends, and have an absolute blast.

However, please take note that the Green will be closing for winter on October 1, 2023. During this time, there will be no social bowling sessions available on the green. But don't worry, we'll be back in action once the winter months are over, so mark your calendars!
