Bovington 2 offers a fantastic range of fish for anglers to catch, with Carp and Tench stealing the limelight. The fishery has stocked many incredible specimens over the years, including an impressive carp weighing a whopping 42lb. While the number of double-figure Tench might have decreased slightly, they are still present and ready to put up a fight.
In 2018, the club refreshed the stock with VS Fisheries Carp, and in 2020, five C5 and two C4 carp weighing between 10lb and 18lb were added. These fish come in a variety of types, such as linears, leathers, and heavily plated mirrors. So get your fishing gear ready, because there's a lot waiting for you at Bovington 2!
One of the great things about Bovington 2 is that it's open all year round, without a close season (subject to change). This means that whenever you feel the urge to cast your line and enjoy a serene fishing experience, you can head over to the fishery. Plus, there's a conveniently located toilet in the car park which is regularly cleaned by a contracted company. The club understands the importance of having clean facilities for their members.
Covering around 6 acres, Bovington 2 boasts 32 pegs for anglers to choose from. While there are currently no designated disabled swims or facilities, everyone is welcome to join in on the fishing fun. However, it's crucial for members to adhere to the club rules, including locking the access gate at all times. This ensures the security of the premises and guarantees a safe environment for everyone involved.
A special note: the use of all nuts as hookbaits or loose feed is strictly prohibited at Bovington 2. This rule has been put in place to protect the fishery and maintain the wellbeing of the fish. Additionally, an otter fence has been installed at great expense, demonstrating the club's dedication to safeguarding the fish and their habitat. Leaving the gate open will result in a lifetime ban, so let's all play our part in preserving this wonderful fishing location!

You'll find the fishery located on Wickham Bishop Road, with its entrance approximately 200mtrs down the road. Just keep an eye out for the sign and you'll be there in no time.
