Alison McIntosh, the face behind Boundary Equestrian Ltd in Fernside, Rangiora, has a heart for the North Canterbury equestrian community. Founded in 2010 by Alison, a dedicated horse rider, and her husband, Boundary Equestrian began with their vision for a peaceful rural lifestyle and a passion for horses. They recognised the unpredictable weather and decided to build a first-rate horse arena accessible for all.

The centrepiece of Boundary Equestrian is a spacious 60m × 25m sand and rubber chip horse arena. This surface offers the right mix of comfort and support for various riding disciplines. Riders can also take advantage of dressage arena markers for precise practice.

These include private 45-minute lessons or 60-minute group sessions focusing on cavalettis and poles. It's perfect for horses in rehab, inexperienced or older horses, and riders just starting out. The lessons aim to refine rhythm, balance, and the partnership between rider and horse.

Alison keeps the services affordable, with individual arena hire starting at just $7.00 per horse per hour. The schooling clinics are priced at $45.00 for a 45-minute lesson.
