Botany Bay Cricket Club, located on the border of Enfield and Potters Bar, has seen remarkable success, with the ex-1st XI securing six consecutive promotions in the last seven years, including four as champions.
Jane Smith, the organiser, is dedicated to promoting cricket in the community, especially among young players. The club has a thriving junior section for boys and girls aged 8 to 17, with a strong focus on girls' cricket and a range of training and matches from Under 11 to Under 17.
Currently, Jane is spearheading a development plan to expand the club’s facilities and attract players of all ages and skills. Whether you’re a seasoned player, new to the area, or just starting, Botany Bay CC is open to new members. Prospective players can get in touch through the club’s website.
Beyond cricket, the club offers a range of activities, including Petanque, Darts, Cuffley Rugby, an MG car enthusiasts' section, and three live music clubs. Information on these can also be found on the website.
The club’s sponsors, including New River Brewery, MyClubtap, and other local businesses, contribute to its ongoing success. For more details, visit the Botany Bay CC website or call them on 020 8363 4482. The club is located at East Lodge Lane, Enfield, Middlesex EN2 8AS.
