The club recently organised a beginners competition on Saturday 20th January, which was a huge success. Special thanks go to Julie and Trevor Coulson for organising and sponsoring the event. The winners of the competition were Cathy Moore, Dennis, and Donald, followed by Ron Moore, Mick Williamson, and Ray Butler in second place, with others securing third place. It was an impressive display of talent and a great day for all involved.
For beginners looking to learn and improve their skills, Boston Indoor Bowls Club offers a beginners league every Wednesday from 12-2pm. This league is coached by the experienced David and Barbara, who are always ready to lend a helping hand. The first three visits are completely free, and participants can even borrow shoes and bowls. The club's trained coaches are always available to guide and teach newcomers about the sport. Whether you're a seasoned player looking for some individual coaching or a beginner in need of some expert advice, coaches like David Fox, Barbara Pell, Julie Coulson, Trevor Coulson, Paul Flatters, Helen Butler, Bob Thompson, and Gene Thompson are available for personalised one-to-one coaching sessions upon request.
