Bolney Meadow Community Centre

Bolney Meadow Community Centre, located in Vauxhall, London, is a vibrant venue and community hub that offers a wide range of activities and events for residents. With its purpose-built facilities, the centre provides a welcoming and inclusive space for both private and public gatherings.

The centre offers three rooms for hire, including a large hall, a conference/meeting room, and a smaller meeting/interview room. This makes Bolney Meadow an ideal venue for various events such as wedding and birthday parties, training sessions, exhibitions, conferences, interviews, and dance and exercise classes. Additionally, there is a light and airy lobby area with a caf bar available at one end, providing a pleasant space for attendees to relax and socialise.

In addition to hosting events, Bolney Meadow Community Centre also runs a range of community activities and programmes. These include Fit & Connected, Zon 3 Fitness Bootcamp, Taekwondo for adults, Music Box Project, Summer Camp, Estate Trips, and Computer Classes for Beginners (TBC). These activities aim to promote community engagement, health and fitness, and personal development.

The Bolney Meadow Community Centre is governed by the Companies Act 2006 and operates as a Community Interest Company (CIC). Its Board of Management consists of six dedicated volunteers who meet regularly to discuss the centre's progress and growth strategies. The vision of the centre is to create an inclusive community that fosters a sense of belonging and strengthens aspirations.

The objectives of the centre are achieved through the delivery of programmes that benefit the community. By maximising the income generated from hiring out the rooms to residents and businesses, the centre is able to fund these activities. The centre also receives an annual grant from its landlord, Notting Hill Housing Trust, to further support its operations.

The role requires 25 hours per week and offers a salary of 36,000 pro rata, depending on experience. It is a one-year fixed-term contract.
