Body Contact Camp 2024 Summer

Join Own The Ice Hockey at Benson Centre in Cornwall for the Body Contact Camp from July 22nd to July 26th. The camp is tailored for competitive players born in 2009, 2010, and 2011, focusing on teaching the proper techniques of using their body to protect the puck or separate an opposing player from it. Players will also learn how to protect themselves on the ice when receiving body checks, improve body positioning, and engage in 1 on 1 battles. Stick battles, puck protection, and developing awareness of surroundings are key elements of contact hockey that will be covered during this camp.

Instructors will guide players through various drills including Battle 1 on 1, 2 on 2, 3 on 3, body contact angling, puck separation, and more.
