Emma, the organiser, wanted to share some exciting news with the sports community about the BMX Track in Milton Keynes. She emphasised how the track offers a unique and challenging experience for BMX riders of all skill levels.
Located in Stanton Low Park, the track is surrounded by scenic views of the River Great Ouse. The park is rich in heritage, providing an opportunity to explore local history. At the park's north-west corner are the remains of Stantonbury Manor, a 17th-century manor house, and nearby, the remains of St Peter's Church, which has stood for over a thousand years.
Emma pointed out that the park’s historical features bring a distinct charm to the BMX Track’s setting. While enjoying the track, visitors may also spot various wildlife. Since farming ended in 2007, pastureland converted into meadows and grassland habitats, now home to a variety of birds, insects, and small mammals. Watching a Barn Owl glide silently over the grassland during summer evenings or seeing flocks of finches feeding in autumn are just a couple of the memorable wildlife encounters one might have at the track.
The BMX Track itself features jumps, berms, and rhythm sections, offering something for both beginners and seasoned riders. Emma highlighted that the track is maintained regularly to ensure it is safe for all riders, adhering to necessary safety regulations and guidelines.
More than just a track, the venue fosters a welcoming and inclusive community of BMX enthusiasts. It serves as a hub for riders in Milton Keynes to connect, share their passion, and learn from each other. This camaraderie adds to the overall experience of visiting the track.
In Emma's view, the BMX Track in Milton Keynes is a must-visit. With its beautiful surroundings, rich heritage, diverse wildlife, challenging elements, and vibrant community, the track offers an all-encompassing experience. Local residents and visitors alike can expect an unforgettable BMX adventure.
