Bluebird Dance Theatre

Bluebird Dance Theatre is a renowned dance school located in Romsey, Australia. With a passion for nurturing creativity and promoting artistic expression, Bluebird Dance Theatre offers a wide range of dance classes and performance opportunities for students of all ages and skill levels.

Bluebird Dance Theatre is known for its spectacular productions, showcasing the talents and hard work of its students. In September 2023, the school reworked the ballet favourite, 'Hansel and Gretel', with students working tirelessly on their dances and character development. The production featured witches, cats, chefs, spooky animals, fairies, and of course, Hansel and Gretel themselves. Congratulations to all the students and a big thank you to the families who helped bring this production to life.

In August 2022, Bluebird Dance Theatre returned to the stage with their original work, 'The Mermaid and the Pirate Queen'. Each and every student dedicated themselves to make this shimmering under the sea production a beautiful success. The school expresses its gratitude to all those involved in making this production possible.

Bluebird Dance Theatre also offers various workshops and summer schools to provide students with unique opportunities to explore different dance styles and cultures. In January 2021, the school was incredibly lucky to have Hith from Bindaas Bollywood Dance Company conduct a two-day workshop, allowing students to discover and learn moves from this culturally rich dance style.

The school takes great pride in its annual Summer Showcase, a celebration of the students' hard work and achievements. The Showcase, sponsored by IEMAC Solutions, brings together the entire Bluebird Dance Theatre community and provides a platform for students to showcase their talent and passion for dance.

Bluebird Dance Theatre is not just about dance, but also about giving back to the community. In 2019, the school's Junior and Senior Production classes performed at the Romsey Christmas Carols, showcasing their dedication and commitment. The school was honoured to receive the 'Peoples Choice Award' for their Christmas tree on display on Main St Romsey, a testament to the community's support.
