Blue Mountains Aikido, a martial arts group based in Katoomba, is excited to announce that they have resumed their normal training sessions at the Faulconbridge Community Hall. Despite the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, the group remained steadfast in their dedication to the sport. During the restrictions, they adapted their training sessions to comply with safety protocols, whether it meant practising indoors with masks or taking their training outdoors in the picturesque parks.
Now that they have returned to regular training, Blue Mountains Aikido warmly welcomes new members to join their dynamic community. However, it is important to note that the Katoomba classes have not yet reopened. At present, the group is conducting limited, modified training sessions exclusively for their existing members. This cautious approach is necessary to maintain a delicate balance in light of the ongoing COVID-19 situation. As soon as the circumstances allow, they will eagerly extend their invitation to new members and resume full-scale operations.
Rest assured that Blue Mountains Aikido prioritises the safety and well-being of its members above all else. They diligently adhere to government and health guidelines, constantly monitoring any changes or updates. Keeping their members well-informed, they promise to promptly notify everyone as soon as it is deemed safe to resume training together.
In addition to their recent successes, Blue Mountains Aikido hosted a fruitful summer school in Melbourne, which further fueled their dedication and commitment to the sport. Now back on the mat and training harder than ever, they are delighted to offer open classes not only in Faulconbridge but also in Katoomba.
