Belhus Park, the renowned Fitness club in South Ockendon, is excited to spread the word about a local fitness event that is sure to get enthusiasts pumping with adrenaline. This event, while not directly related to our club, is certainly worth checking out for those looking to get involved in the fitness community.
The Civic Hall, located in the heart of our vibrant community, regularly plays host to Blood Donor sessions. Every Wednesday, between the hours of 1.30pm and 7.30pm, individuals have the opportunity to make a profound impact by giving blood. It goes without saying that this act of generosity can save lives, serving as a lifeline for both emergency situations and individuals who require long-term treatments.
Let's put things into perspective: England and North Wales require a staggering 6,000 blood donations every single day. That's how vital this act of selflessness truly is. And the need for new donors never ceases, with approximately 200,000 individuals needed to step up and give blood each year. Sadly, some previous donors become unable to continue giving, making it crucial for new individuals to join the cause.
So who can give blood, you ask? Well, most people between the ages of 17 and 65 have the potential to become heroes through blood donation. It's an opportunity to make a tangible difference in someone's life, and it's open to a wide range of individuals willing to contribute.
To find out more about this noble cause, book an appointment, or simply gather additional information, we encourage you to visit my.blood.co.uk or give them a call at 0300 123 2323. Let's come together as a community and make a positive impact by supporting this vital initiative.
Remember, this event is separate from the activities organised by Belhus Park Fitness club, but we believe in supporting fellow members of our community who are promoting health and well-being. Join us in showing our support for this worthy event by spreading the word and encouraging others to take part.
Life is precious, and by giving blood, you have the power to save someone's life. Together, let's make a difference, one donation at a time.
