Our friendly and inclusive community at BlocHaus Bouldering Port Melbourne welcomes climbers of all levels and abilities. Located in Port Melbourne, Victoria, our facility combines a rock climbing gym, café, fitness centre, and recreation centre to provide a one-of-a-kind bouldering experience.
At BlocHaus, bouldering is at the heart of what we do. With our state-of-the-art facility, we offer 850m2 of Blocz climbing surface, including a LED Moonboard, a 40 woodie, campus and peg boards, and an 8-metre padded slackline. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced climber, our gym is equipped to cater to your needs.
We take pride in our community and strive to make everyone feel like they're a part of the MLB climbing community. Our experienced setting crew ensures that the gym is clean and reset regularly, providing a fresh and exciting experience for our members. With two sectors cleaned and reset every Tuesday and Thursday, you can expect a whole new gym every six weeks.
To support our climbers, the Choca Bloc Shop offers a wide range of bouldering gear, including clothing, shoes, chalk, brushes, and more. We also have a café section, Haus Brew, where we serve delicious refreshments and healthy treats to keep you energised between climbs.
In addition to our top-notch facilities, we offer a variety of classes and coaching options led by our experienced instructors. Whether you're looking to improve your bouldering skills, increase your fitness level, or simply have a good time, our classes cater to different levels and interests.
If you're new to bouldering, don't worry it's a fun, challenging, and rewarding activity that anyone can enjoy. Bouldering is similar to rock climbing but without the need for ropes or other gear, as the walls are shorter and equipped with padded mats. You can boulder outdoors on real rocks or indoors on specially designed walls like the ones found at BlocHaus.
Regardless of your background or athletic experience, bouldering is for everyone at BlocHaus. Our inclusive environment offers something for everybody, including specialised climbing training, a fitness training area, and even a slackline. Families and kids are also important to us, which is why we have the FamilyHaus area with climbs designed specifically for kids and families.
To get started, all you require is an open mind and yourself. If it's your first time, we offer climbing shoe rentals. Feel free to come on your own or bring your friends our friendly staff will be there to answer any questions you may have. Shower and change room facilities are also available for your convenience.
