Lion Martial Arts, we offer comprehensive training in the Yang Style of Tai Chi Chuan. Our Tai Chi classes are designed to cater to individuals of all ages and fitness levels, emphasising the holistic growth of the student.
Located on the south side of Brisbane, Queensland, just a short 15–20 minutes from the city, Black Lion Martial Arts is dedicated to providing a safe and inclusive environment for all students. Our aim is not only to teach Choy Li Fut Kung Fu and Yang Style Tai Chi Chuan, but also to challenge individuals to better themselves as a person, as well as a member of their families and communities.
At Black Lion, we believe in providing personalised attention to all our members. We offer one-on-one training sessions to ensure each student gets the support they need to thrive in their martial arts journey. In addition, students have unlimited access to group classes that match their current level, allowing them to continue their training at their own pace without any per-class charge. We firmly believe that this approach allows students to fully grow and develop within their martial arts training and within themselves.

Sifu Gabe Nicklas, our Chief Instructor, has dedicated over 20 years to studying and teaching Choy Li Fut Kung Fu and Yang Style Tai Chi Chuan within the Plum Blossom Federation and White Dragon Schools. Sifu Gabe is passionate about the martial arts and is committed to helping individuals reach their full potential.
