Welcome to Blackburn South Netball Club, a graded community Netball Club located in Victoria, Australia. With 11 teams, including 10 Saturday teams and 1 Monday GO team, we provide a supportive and competitive environment for players of all ages and skill levels.
Our training sessions take place at Orchard Grove Primary School in Blackburn South. The school can be accessed via Holland Road, and once inside, teams train on different nights depending on their schedule. Training typically lasts for one hour, with some teams also training at Vermont Sportlink on the outdoor courts on Wednesdays from 5-6pm.
At Blackburn South Netball Club, we are dedicated to the ongoing player development of our girls. To support this, we offer Nardelli training sessions for players in section 10 and above throughout the year. We also provide clinics with Nardelli for sections below 10. Our goal is to have teams playing in sections 1-3, with current teams such as Otters (Section 2) and Starfish (Section 3) representing the club.
Competition games are held on Saturdays at the Sportlink Complex in Vermont South. Our youngest teams, with players under approximately 9 years old, play on Monday evenings after school. At this level, modified rules are implemented, and umpires provide patient guidance to help players understand the game. There are no finals at this level.
All other players participate in Saturday games, starting at 8. 50am and concluding at 5. 30pm. Semi-finals and finals are held during the last two or three weeks of each season.
