Crucially, you will also learn essential techniques to escape when being physically dominated or when someone attempts to submit you.

Throughout your training, you will cover all the signature submissions in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, including the guillotine, arm bar, kimura, triangle, omoplata, rear naked choke, and Americana. The instructors prioritise repetition, ensuring that you not only see the techniques but also have enough time to develop and master them. This approach allows for rapid improvement and ensures that you thoroughly enjoy your time on the mat.

The lessons at BJJ Lifestyle Team focus on positions, starting with the closed guard, side control, knee on stomach, the mount, back control, and the north-south position. You will also learn basic positional escapes when faced with an opponent on top of you. The lessons cover everything you need to know, from etiquette and tying the belt to the names of positions and the core principles of the system. The aim is to provide a comprehensive introduction to Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and equip you with the knowledge and skills to begin your own Jiu Jitsu journey.
