Opened by Sir Bobby Charlton, a true legend of English football, BJFF has grown to become a cornerstone of the Thornton-Cleveleys community, thanks to the leadership and passion of organiser, Jamie.

BJFF takes pride in its FA Charter Standard Community Club status, being an FA Charter Standard Founder Club and winning FA Charter Standard Club of the Year 2001. These achievements underscore Jamie’s commitment to providing top-notch football opportunities for everyone, regardless of their skill level.

Jamie wants everyone to know that at BJFF, it's not just about winning. The club’s mission, "Winning isn’t our only goal," highlights the focus on personal growth, teamwork, and simply enjoying the beautiful game. The club believes that football is more about the values and life skills players pick up along the way than just the match outcomes.

BJFF is bustling with over 600 youth players aged 3-18 and offers a variety of team opportunities. This upcoming season sees 50 teams on board, from under 7s to under 18s. For the little ones, there's a Development Squad for ages 3-6, Wildcats sessions for girls aged 4-11, and a Football for All training programme to support players of all abilities.

In 2010, BJFF was chuffed to be named FA Charter Standard Community Club of the Year for Lancashire. This accolade stands as a testament to the hard work Jamie, the staff, volunteers, and players put in. BJFF also bagged the Outstanding Contribution to Sport Award at the Heroes in the Community awards night, showing just how much impact the club has on the local community.

BJFF’s story dates back to 1969, when a merger between four local clubs created what we know today. Since then, BJFF has risen to prominence as one of the top junior clubs in the Fylde region, bagging numerous honours and nurturing talented players. Notable alumni include Mark Lawrenson, Steve Thompson, and George Berry, to name a few.

The BJFF clubhouse, inaugurated in 1973 by Sir Bobby Charlton, serves as a central hub for football activities and community events. Jamie has ensured it remains a vital part of the Thornton-Cleveleys area.

As BJFF moves forward, Jamie remains dedicated to offering fantastic football opportunities for players of all ages and abilities.
