School age classes 4 years and up Once children have started school, they can progress to our school age classes. These classes cater to different abilities and focus on developing stroke technique and building stamina. Children will learn to swim independently and gain confidence in their swimming ability. These classes are designed to meet the needs of each individual swimmer, ensuring they progress at their own pace.
Lane swimming ability based For more advanced swimmers, we offer lane swimming classes. These classes are specifically designed for swimmers who are looking to improve their endurance and speed in the water. Swimmers will have the opportunity to refine their stroke technique and work on race skills. These classes are open to swimmers of all ages and abilities, but require a certain level of proficiency in swimming.
Our teaching staff All of our teachers at Bishops Waltham Swimming Club are highly qualified and DBS checked. They are passionate about teaching children to swim and are dedicated to providing the highest quality instruction. Our teachers are trained to Swimming Teacher Association (STA) standards and undergo regular professional development to stay up to date with the latest teaching techniques.
Awards and achievements We use the STA awards scheme to enhance our swimming lessons. At the end of each term, students have the opportunity to earn badges and certificates to recognise their progress and achievements. This provides motivation and a sense of accomplishment for our swimmers.
Excellent facilities Our swimming lessons are held at Bishops Waltham Junior School, which provides excellent facilities for our club. The pool is well-maintained and provides a safe and comfortable environment for our lessons. Our location is easily accessible and has ample parking available.
Vacancies at Bishops Waltham Swimming Club We are currently looking for talented and enthusiastic swimming teachers to join our friendly team. Applicants must hold either a Swim England or STA Level 2 certificate to teach beginners and above. We have various hours and classes available from Monday to Friday during term-time. Successful applicants must have a valid DBS certificate.
