Shaun Smart wants to share some updates with the sports community about Bishops Bowl Fishery. Located right on the Oxfordshire/Warwickshire border, this fishing club has a 90-acre former limestone quarry which gives it a unique charm.
Since 2010, under Shaun's sole management, Bishops Bowl Fishery has seen some great changes. New lakes have been created, making fishing more accessible to both able-bodied and disabled anglers. Existing lakes have also been refurbished and stocked with different fish species. These updates have made the fishery quite the spot for carp/specimen anglers, pleasure anglers, and match anglers alike. In fact, it’s even earned a 5-star review from Carp Critic, placing it among the top fisheries in the Midlands.
Through all these enhancements, Shaun has been careful to preserve the natural beauty and wildlife of the area. The peaceful environment is still very much a part of the Bishops Bowl experience.
Visitors can enjoy multiple lakes and check out the tackle shop and café. Each lake has its own ticket prices, which you can find by clicking on the lake map for details.
And it’s not just about fishing. Warwickshire has loads to offer if you’re interested in history, quaint villages, or a bit of nature. There's plenty to see and do.
Shaun and his friendly team have also set some rules to ensure everyone has a good time while maintaining the integrity of the fishery. If you’ve got any questions or need more info, the staff at the tackle shop and café are always ready to help.
