Nestled in the Dearne Valley of South Yorkshire, Billingley is a quaint village with about 79 homes and 145 residents. The village hall, a converted historic barn/cart store, adds a unique touch to any event.
Managed by the Billingley Village Community Association Ltd. (BVCA Ltd), a not-for-profit charity, the hall benefits from the hard work of volunteer trustees. It’s a popular spot for everything from small weddings and parties to meetings and classes.
One of the best things about the hall is its lovely location, offering splendid views of the countryside. It’s cosy too, with enough space for up to 70 people. There are two function rooms on the ground floor that can be used separately or together. There’s also a large meeting room upstairs, though it's worth noting this room isn’t accessible for those with disabilities.
The kitchen is fully equipped, ideal for catering any event. John assures that it has everything: a double-width oven and hob, ample refrigeration, freezer, microwave, large water boiler, kettle, toaster, and enough crockery and glasses for everyone.
Accessibility hasn’t been overlooked either. The hall has a separate disabled toilet, baby-changing facilities, and off-street parking with a dedicated disabled space.
