Facilities at Billericay Bowling Club include a six rink lawn grass green and a clubhouse that is owned and maintained by the local council. The green provides a beautiful and well-maintained playing surface for members to enjoy. The clubhouse offers a comfortable and welcoming space for socialising and relaxing before and after games.
The club welcomes men and women of all ages and abilities. Currently, our membership consists of approximately 70 men and 30 ladies. We believe in creating a friendly and inclusive environment where everyone can feel comfortable and enjoy the sport of lawn bowls.
Bowling opportunities at Billericay Bowling Club include social bowling sessions, such as roll ups and club mornings, where members can come together for a casual game. We also organise friendly matches against other clubs, providing a chance to compete in a relaxed and sociable setting. For those who are more competitive, we offer opportunities to play in local leagues and competitions at club, county, and national level.
The summer season at Billericay Bowling Club runs from 1st May to late September. However, we also offer indoor friendlies during the winter period, ensuring that members can continue to play and maintain their skills. There are several indoor clubs in the area that members can join for indoor bowling.
We are always looking for new members to join our club. Whether you have never played before or are an experienced bowler, we would love to welcome you to our friendly and supportive community. If you are interested in joining, please contact Tracy Kinton on 07590 410762 or Michael Yates on 07474 225040.
At Billericay Bowling Club, we also offer bowls coaching for our members. We have qualified coaches who are ready and willing to provide face-to-face coaching or coaching in small groups. Whether you are looking to learn the basics or improve your technique, our coaches can provide personalised guidance and support. Coaching is free to members, and members can request remedial help and feedback at any time during the season.
