Located in Pendeen Park, PL6 6RG, 'Big Will's' Skate Park is a popular and well-utilised facility for young people in Southway. Managed by the Young People of Southway in partnership with the S'Way Youth Centre, this skate park has been a result of several years of consultation and hard work, eventually securing funding for its development.
The dedicated team of youth workers at the Southway Youth Centre, along with partner agencies, continue to ensure that the park is well-maintained and carefully looked after. It is their priority to provide a safe and enjoyable environment for the young skateboarders in the area. In fact, it took five years of dedication and perseverance to bring this skate park to life, making it an important space for the youth.
' Big Will's' Skate Park is named in honour of a special individual, 'Will', who played a significant role in its establishment. As a way to pay tribute to him, the park encourages riders to enjoy the space and skate in his memory.
