Benwell Hill Cricket Club is a well-established cricket club located to the west of Newcastle upon Tyne city centre. As a proud founder member of the ECB North East leading League, the club has a rich history in the local cricket scene.
The club boasts three senior teams – the first, second, and third elevens – all of which compete in the highly competitive premier Leagues. Additionally, the third eleven also participates in the West Tyne Cricket League and the Northumberland and Tyneside Cricket League Midweek Division. The club's Ladies' team is a proud member of the Northumberland Women's Cricket League.
In addition to its senior teams, Benwell Hill Cricket Club also runs a thriving junior programme. The club has teams at Under 19, Under 15, Under 13, and Under 11 levels for both boys and girls. The club is committed to providing opportunities for young players to develop their skills and grow their passion for cricket.
New players, both junior and senior, are always welcome at Benwell Hill Cricket Club. The club hosts practise sessions during the season on Wednesday evenings from 6:00 pm for senior players and on Tuesday evenings from 4:30 pm for juniors.
