Benson Stage Academy

Step into the world of dance at the Benson Stage Academy in Whitby, led by the passionate and experienced Julia Trillo-Howard. With a background as an examiner and Fellow of the U.K.A. P.T.D.M. N.B.O.F., and a member of Equity, Julia is dedicated to offering top-notch dance tuition.

The academy covers a variety of dance styles, with ballet at its core, but you don't need ballet experience to join. Whether you're aiming for a career in dance or just looking to boost your confidence and fitness, Benson Stage Academy has something for everyone.

Each year, the studio's Christmas show at the Spa Theatre Whitby is a highlight, open to all students and their families. This event raises funds for the NSPCC, promoting a sense of community spirit. The academy also supports local charities through various fundraisers.

In February, the academy hosts its annual awards night, a lively evening where students receive certificates and awards for their hard work. It’s also a chance to display their choreography skills in their own mini shows.
