Whether you're a beginner with no previous sailing experience or an intermediate sailor looking to sharpen your skills, this ladies-exclusive sailing course is designed to help you become a confident and capable sailor.
During this course, participants will have the opportunity to learn and practice essential safety procedures, gain valuable skippering skills, and even experience the thrill of helming their very own yacht. The course follows the highly respected RYA (Royal Yachting Association) syllabus, progressing through the Start Yachting, Competent Crew, Day Skipper, and Coastal Skipper levels.
For beginners, the course will cover all the fundamentals of sailing, including steering, working with sails and winches, using the compass effectively, and ensuring safety on board. On the other hand, more experienced sailors will have the chance to learn advanced techniques such as docking and mooring, effective passage planning, and the art of coordinating a crew.
To ensure an immersive learning experience, these ladies-exclusive courses are held on board our top-notch training yachts. And the best part? Meals on board are included, so you can focus on learning the ropes without worrying about where your next meal is coming from. Departing from the East Coast Marina, you'll have plenty of opportunities to put your newfound skills into practice, including night sailing sessions. Our weekend courses kick off on Saturday morning and wrap up on Sunday afternoon, while our immersive 5-day courses begin on Monday morning and conclude on Friday afternoon.
At Southern Cross Yachting, we believe in quality instruction and guidance.
