The Bega Cup Carnival Weekend is an annual event that takes place in Bega Valley. This year's event was a great success, and the organisers are already excited for the next edition in 2025. On March 23, 2024, there will be the Pambula Cup, followed by the Tradies & Ladies Race Day on April 5, 2024. Finally, the Winter Race Day is scheduled for June 9, 2024.
The Sapphire Coast Turf Club, the venue for the event, is located on a picturesque 300-acre site on Sapphire Coast Drive at Kalaru, between Merimbula and Bega, and close to Tathra. This racecourse is one of the newest and most modern in NSW, offering great spectator facilities. Attendees can enjoy an unobstructed view of the racing action from most parts of the course, including the Members, Reserve, and Centre areas, as well as the large, banked lawn areas. The ticket prices for race days are as follows: Adults – $15, Pensioners – $10, and Under 18's – Free. If you're planning to attend the races, you may also need accommodation.
