Bedford & County Badminton Club

David Atkinson would like to extend a warm invitation to the sports community to join Bedford & County Badminton Club, a club with roots stretching back to 1924. The club, based in Bedford, operates as a not-for-profit organisation, welcoming individuals of all ages and abilities to engage in the sport of badminton.

David is proud of the club's dedicated facility, featuring a 3-court hall that caters to both recreational players and those aiming for competitive play. The club holds main evening sessions on Mondays and Wednesdays from 7pm, open to players of a good standard and those eager to improve their skills. There are also opportunities to compete in local leagues, with teams in both Medley and Men's Doubles divisions.

For those interested in exploring membership, David notes that prospective members can attend as visitors for £10 per evening. An Elite club exists for top players, meeting on Tuesday evenings by invitation, though any member from the main club can express interest in joining.

Additionally, the club offers a Pay + Play session on Friday evenings from 8pm to 10pm, ideal for teenagers and young adults seeking a casual badminton experience.

Daytime court hire is available for various groups, including friendly men’s and ladies’ clubs and a ladies-only session on Tuesday mornings.
