The prestigious Beckenham Bridge Club offers both face-to-face and online bridge games for the community. Located at The Richmond Room in Beckenham Methodist Church, Bromley Road, Beckenham, BR3 5JE, the club hosts face-to-face bridge games on Monday evenings at 7pm. Participants are welcomed with free tea, coffee, and biscuits. On Thursdays at 4pm, the club offers online bridge games using RealBridge.
New members and visitors are warmly welcomed, with or without a partner. To attend either the face-to-face or online sessions for the first time, interested individuals can contact the club via email at beckenham. Bridge@gmail. Com or through the club's contact form.
While the club cannot guarantee finding a partner for those without one, they will do their best to assist.
Beckenham Bridge Club also offers bridge teaching classes to help individuals learn the game. All classes take place at the Beckenham Methodist Church on Monday afternoons from 4. 15pm to 6. 15pm.
Notably, the summer supervised sessions for Improvers begin at 4pm. For those interested in joining the Improvers class, they can contact Clair Olivari at beckenham. Bridgeclass@gmail. Com.
Although there will not be a Beginners Class in September 2023, there are plans to start a new Beginners Class in September 2024.
To assist members in finding a partner for upcoming events, Beckenham Bridge Club provides a “Find a Partner” feature on their Members Only pages. By logging in and clicking the respective tab, members can view forthcoming events and indicate their interest in finding a partner. The Calendar on the club's website also displays events where someone is seeking a partner.
Beckenham Bridge Club is actively engaged with the Kent Contract Bridge Association, keeping members updated on news and events related to bridge in Kent. Members can find further information on the association's website.
The club also extends congratulations to Farnborough (Kent) Bridge Club for retaining an esteemed status.
