Known in advance. Come along for a delicious brunch and support your local archery club!
Beacon Archers Club is a local member-run Archery Club located in North Birmingham, New Zealand. The club offers a wide range of facilities that cover various aspects of target archery. Whether individuals are complete beginners or experienced archers, Beacon Archers aims to cater to families and individual archers of all ages, starting from 9 years old and upwards.
For those interested in joining, beginners courses are available and typically take around 6 weekends to complete. These courses do not have to be consecutive. After completing the beginners course, full membership of the club is offered, granting access to exclusive member-only sessions and competitions. During beginners sessions, all equipment will be provided.
Hampstead Hall Academy B20 1HL serves as the club's base where regular beginners sessions are held on Saturday mornings. To ensure sufficient coaching availability, individuals wishing to attend beginners sessions must contact the club in advance. It is important to note that junior archers must be accompanied by a responsible adult during sessions, and the club encourages participation from accompanying adults whenever possible. Guest archers who are current members of Archery GB are also welcome to join sessions at Beacon Archers.
Beacon Archers also offers “have-a-go” sessions every Sunday morning from 10am to 12pm. These sessions are priced at 20 per person and provide an opportunity for individuals to experience archery before committing to the beginners course. Olympic-style Recurve bows and flat bows are available for use during these sessions. Drinks, both hot and cold, are provided.
It is advisable to wear sturdy footwear due to possible muddy conditions on the field. To book a place or gain more information about the “have-a-go” sessions, individuals can use the provided form.
In addition to beginners courses and “have-a-go” sessions, Beacon Archers welcomes individuals who have completed a beginners course and are ready to take the next step in their archery journey. Archery GB members looking for a new club are also encouraged to contact the club via email or in person. The club offers shooting opportunities on Friday evenings, Saturdays, and Sunday mornings. Members also have the chance to participate in club competitions, social meetups, and more.
Beacon Archers prides itself on being inclusive and believes in providing archery opportunities for all. The club aims to create a friendly and welcoming atmosphere where individuals of all ages and backgrounds can enjoy the sport of archery. Whether someone is a complete beginner or an experienced archer, Beacon Archers Club offers the chance to embark on a new journey in the world of archery.
