If your team is unable to play a game, you have the option to reschedule it with the consent of the opposing team captain. Just reach out to them to arrange a suitable time and then give a call to Ozsports to confirm the change. Remember, reschedules must be made at least 24 hours in advance. If the game cannot be rescheduled within 2 weeks, the original team will register a forfeit.
If your team is short of players, it's always a good idea to contact us in advance. We may have players in our single player enquiry list who can join your team. However, please note that if you forfeit a game with more than 24 hours' notice, a single game fee penalty will apply. Forfeiting a game with less than 24 hours' notice will result in double game fees.
To ensure a fair and uniform playing field, all teams must be in proper uniform from the start of their first game, as per the nominated sports rules. This means identical coloured playing tops for all players, including substitutes. If you don't have the required uniforms, don't worry! Netball bibs can be purchased from us or hired from the games counter for just $3.00 per set.
Team captains, please make sure that your game fees are paid at least 10 minutes prior to the game time. Late start penalties will be applied for every minute or part thereof that the team delays the start of the game. If there's a delay of 10 minutes, the game will be declared a forfeit and double game fees will apply. Additionally, the offending team will face reduced overs when batting.
Weather can be unpredictable, especially when it comes to outdoor sports. In case of rain affecting the scheduled games, it is the team captain's responsibility to contact Ozsports half an hour prior to the game time to confirm whether the game will be played or postponed. If a game night is postponed, rest assured that the games will be rescheduled to the earliest available time.
To be eligible for finals games, players must be current members and have played a minimum of 5 games during the season. Unregistered or unqualified players in finals games will be automatically disqualified from all subsequent games. So, make sure your team is financial and eligible for finals. If you have multiple teams playing on different nights, ensure that you have enough qualified players for each team, as game times may clash.
