Beach Barbecue Swims

Experience the perfect summer evening activity with Beach Barbecue Swims by joining Swim on the Wild Side Ltd at Derwentwater in Keswick. This Swim club invites you to take a leisurely swim followed by a delicious barbecue as you explore the picturesque lake with multiple islands.

The friendly swim group meets every other Wednesday evening throughout the summer for a 90-minute swim adventure that includes passing by at least four islands. From Lemon Tree Island to Cherry Tree Island, a break at St. Herbert's Island, and a scenic swim past Rampsholme and Lord's Islands with a view of Friar's Crag, it's a journey not to be missed.

After the swim, participants will head back to shore for a well-deserved barbecue featuring Cumberland sausage, chicken kebab, and light refreshments. Vegetarian and gluten-free options are also available to cater to all preferences. The cost for this amazing experience is £49.00 per person, including all food. Non-swimming friends and family can join in the barbecue for an additional cost of £9.00 per adult and £6.00 for children under 12.

With only six spots available for each swim, it's important to book early to secure your place. Remember, participants must be able to swim 1km without stopping.
