BC Swim Coaches Association

The BC Swim Coaches Association (BCSCA) is a swim club based in Victoria, British Columbia. Established in 2023, BCSCA is dedicated to providing high-quality coaching and professional development opportunities for swim coaches in the region. The club is proud to offer online learning resources, professional development grants, and a supportive network of coaches to help members excel in their profession.

Led by a dedicated board of directors, including President Rod Barratt, Vice-President Reg Shaw, Treasurer Justin Daly, and Secretary Sarah Hynd, BCSCA is committed to supporting the growth and development of swim coaches in British Columbia. Regional representatives from the Lower Mainland, Vancouver Island, Northern Region, and Interior Region ensure that the needs of coaches across the province are met.

BCSCA offers a comprehensive club directory listing all Swim BC registered swim clubs organized by region. This directory includes club codes, website links, head coaches, and BCSCA membership status, making it easy for coaches to connect and collaborate with their peers.

The club's professional development grants provide members with funding opportunities to further their coaching skills and knowledge. The 2023 grant program offers six separate $500 grants for registered coaches to use towards swim coach development and learning. Coaches are encouraged to get creative in their applications and explore ways to enhance their coaching abilities through travel, mentorship, and online learning opportunities.
