Baxenden & District Golf Club is a gem on the Hyndburn-Rossendale boundary in Accrington, set up back in 1913. It’s got a cracking 9-hole course that fits golfers of all levels. The moorland setting adds a nice challenge. Whether you're playing solo or in a group, you'll enjoy a great day out here.
After your round, the clubhouse is the perfect spot to chill out. You can dissect your game, grab a drink, have a bite to eat, or even play some snooker. They also hire out the clubhouse for special events, so it’s not just for golf.
If you’re not a member, you can still book online. The weekday rates are £15 for a single player, but if you're with a member, it drops to £10. The same rates apply in winter. On weekends and bank holidays, it’s £10 if you’re with a member.
Baxenden Golf Club also supports our military heroes, offering free midweek golf for active service personnel—just double-check availability with the club.
The bar and kitchen have specific opening times. The bar’s open to everyone on Thursdays (11 am - 6 pm), Fridays and Saturdays (11 am - 11 pm), and Sundays (11 am - 6 pm). The kitchen serves meals and drinks from 10 am to 4 pm, Thursday through Sunday.
The club has a proud history, with top folks like President Paul Mabbutt, Captain Glen Yates, Secretary David Clegg, and Treasurer Graham Jones making things run smoothly. It’s a great spot for golf lovers in the Accrington area with a welcoming vibe and a beautiful course.
