Battram Bowls Club

Battram Bowls Club is a well-established and friendly sports club located in Coalville, New Zealand. Since its establishment in 1925, the club has been dedicated to providing hours of enjoyment to individuals and their families through the sport of bowls as well as various social activities.

The club boasts a green that has been used for County matches and finals, guaranteeing a great game for all players. The club operates from April to October and offers various opening hours throughout the week. On Mondays, the club is open from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM, while on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, it operates from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Saturdays offer extended hours, from 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Equipment is available for borrowing, ensuring that all members have what they need to engage in the sport.

Battram Bowls Club would like to extend their gratitude to their supporters and sponsors, including Neals Cars, Ibstock Tile & Bathroom Ltd, and Mick George Sports Award in partnership with Leicestershire & Rutland Sport. Their contributions have allowed the club to obtain junior bowls and garden seating, enhancing the facilities and opportunities available to both new and existing members.

The club is run by an Executive Committee, which includes a President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary, Club Captain, Vice Captain, League Captain, and Over 60s Captain, among others. There is also a Management Committee, Bar Committee, Green Keepers, Selection Committee, and Club Coaches, ensuring that the club runs smoothly and caters to the needs of its members.

Battram Bowls Club participates in various leagues and competitions. They have Thursday Triples League fixtures, as well as Tues Over 60s Triples League fixtures. These fixtures provide members with regular opportunities to compete and showcase their skills.
