To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all, Bathurst Pool has set rules and regulations that must be followed. Disobeying or abusing lifeguards, engaging in antisocial behaviour, damaging or defacing the premises, and bullying will not be tolerated and may result in expulsion from the pool. Food and drink, alcoholic beverages, drugs, and inflatables that obstruct the lifeguards' view are not allowed. Lifeguard and trustee instructions should always be respected.
Non-swimmers and weak swimmers must remain in the shallow end, and parents or guardians must supervise their children at all times. Shoving, pushing, dangerous diving activities, running dives, and somersault entries are strictly prohibited. Additionally, no diving through inflatables or bombing is allowed. The premises do not permit alcohol, glass containers, balls, smoking or vaping, and dogs, except for guide dogs.
For avid swimmers, membership to the Bathurst Swim Club is available for the 2023 season. Membership prices were 90 for the season, and members have access to the pool during public swim times. However, there are no lane ropes, and the pool may be crowded on hot days. The swim club typically operates until the beginning of September, but the closing date is dependent on weather conditions and trustee and chemical availability.
Membership for 2023 has already sold out, and members are required to pick up their allocated tickets and fill out the membership form during specified times.
Parking at Bathurst Pool can sometimes be limited, but there is overflow parking available in the field to the right of the entrance. Bicycles can be securely locked against the railings. Visitors are reminded not to park on the side of the main road, as it blocks the pavement and may result in a fixed penalty fine.
Bathurst Pool also boasts a fully stocked shop on-site, offering a variety of amenities, including hot snacks, confectionery, hot and cold drinks, ice cream, and swimming essentials like inflatables and goggles. Visitors are welcome to bring their own picnics to the pool area.
