Welcome to Basingstoke SSKA Club, a Karate school located in Basingstoke, England. As part of the Southern Shotokan Karate Association (SSKA), our club has been established for 20 years and is led by Sensei Tony Kimber, a 5th dan instructor.
At Basingstoke SSKA Club, we pride ourselves on being a small and friendly club that welcomes individuals of all abilities and ages, from 8 to 80. Whether you are new to Karate or returning to the sport, we offer a supportive environment where you can learn and progress at your own pace.
Our primary focus is on teaching practical self-defence techniques while also promoting physical fitness. Karate is not only a great way to stay in shape, but it also provides an opportunity to meet new people and build friendships within our community.
In our club, there is no pressure to grade or compete, although we do offer opportunities for those who wish to do so. We believe that everyone should have the freedom to practise Karate in a way that suits their individual goals and aspirations.
