Base Invaders Softball Team

The Base Invaders softball team is excited to announce an upcoming local event at the John Archer Way Softball pitch in London. This event is perfect for all softball enthusiasts and players who are looking for some thrilling action on the field.

The Base Invaders have been making waves in the London Softball League since their formation in 2013. Starting off as a group of passionate players who attended the London Softball League Development Nights, they quickly formed a tight-knit team under the coaching of Phil Candice and Nick Barnett.

Their love for the game and dedication paid off as they achieved promotion to Division 5 in their very first season. Their success didn't stop there. The Base Invaders also triumphed in the Publishers League tournament, winning the Plate Championship. This was just the beginning of their tournament victories. In 2014, they clinched their first tournament win and emerged as champions in the Publishers Tournament.

Year after year, the Base Invaders continued to dominate the league. In 2015, they finished third in the country in their division at Nationals and secured back-to-back divisional titles. They also put up an impressive performance at the LSL Last Ball Tournament, finishing in second place.

To create a new home ground to showcase their skills, the Base Invaders moved to John Archer Way on Wandsworth Common in 2016. In their first season in Division 3, they once again showed their prowess and finished in an impressive third place. They also achieved the same result at Nationals, proving their consistent excellence.

In 2017, the team maintained their competitive edge, finishing fourth in the league and securing third place at the LSL Last Ball Tournament. The following year, the Base Invaders reached new heights by winning a winner-take-all game against the Pirates, earning a promotion to Division 2 in 2018.

The team continued their impressive performance in 2019, leading the division for most of the season. Though they narrowly missed out on the title, the Base Invaders displayed their strong skills and determination to succeed.

Now, the Base Invaders are bringing their A-game once again for this local softball event. Whether you're a seasoned player or just starting out, this event promises an exciting opportunity to witness some top-notch softball action.
