Volunteering at Barton & District AC is a fantastic way to give back to the community and be a part of a thriving athletics club. The club offers a range of opportunities for volunteers, with a particular focus on training and coaching the junior section. Our dedicated volunteers help to foster a love for running, jumping, and throwing in young athletes aged 8 and above.
The junior section is divided into two age groups, allowing children to participate in fun games and activities that develop their skills in track and field athletics. This approach encourages younger children to explore a wide range of sports before specialising, ensuring their overall athletic development.
As a volunteer at Barton & District AC, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our junior athletes, providing guidance, encouragement, and coaching. By sharing your knowledge and passion for athletics, you can inspire the next generation of athletes to reach their full potential and develop lifelong skills.
In addition to working with our junior section, there are other volunteer roles available within the club. These include assisting with the organisation of events such as the Deepdale Dash and Fun Run, as well as supporting senior athletes during their training sessions. Volunteers are crucial to the success and growth of the club, and we are always looking for enthusiastic individuals to join our team.
