Welcome to Barrie Jiu Jitsu, where you can train with Sensei Frank, a 4-time Canadian, 4-time World Jiu Jitsu / MMA champion and 6th degree black belt. We offer a variety of programs for all ages and skill levels.
For youth aged 4-13, our classes focus on discipline, respect, self-confidence, and street defence skills in a safe and enjoyable environment. Our goal is to help children develop both physically and mentally while having fun.
Adult classes (13 yrs and up) at Barrie Jiu Jitsu incorporate fitness and endurance training alongside self-defence techniques for both street and competitive fighting. Our programs cater to individuals looking to improve their physical fitness while learning valuable martial arts skills.
Friday Night Fights are open to all ages and provide an opportunity to learn one-on-one fighting skills in a supportive and encouraging atmosphere. Whether you have previous fighting experience or are a newcomer, you'll enjoy the challenge and camaraderie of these classes.
If you're not quite ready to join Jiu Jitsu classes, we offer Cardio Boot Camp sessions designed to meet your fitness needs. These high-energy classes are suitable for all fitness levels and provide a great workout for both body and mind.
Barrie Jiu Jitsu was established in 1989 by Sensei Frank Duncan, creating a Japanese-based martial arts dojo in the Barrie, Ontario area.
