Welcome to Barnsley Trout Club, located in the beautiful foothills of the Pennines. With forty acres of prime trout fishing, our club has been a fisherman's paradise for over 43 years. Our reservoir is home to rainbow and blue trout ranging from 1. 5 lbs to 8.
0 lbs, and is regularly stocked throughout the season. Additionally, our reservoir holds native brown trout weighing up to 10 lbs.
While primarily a members club, we always extend a warm welcome to visiting anglers, whether they are experienced or beginners. Our club is open from 1st March to 30th November, offering ample opportunities to enjoy a day of angling.
Please note that our car park entrance has a height restriction of 6 feet 6 inches. For ticket prices and further information, please select the Tickets tab in the menu. Currently, the fishery is closed to visiting anglers, as stated in the latest news and information section. We strive to ensure the safety and well-being of all our visitors, especially during these difficult times. As such, we have implemented temporary measures for everyone's safety. These include restricted opening hours, payment by card only, maintaining a 15-metre distance while fishing and a 2-metre distance at all other times, and no public entry to the fishery office.
