Barnsley BSAC Divers Scuba Diving Club, set in South Yorkshire, is a close-knit diving community of around 70 members. Paul, the organiser, invites everyone to enjoy the safe and fun dive trips the club regularly plans. They offer BSAC courses from beginner to advanced levels.

Even though Barnsley is far from the coast, the club’s spirit for diving remains undeterred. Dive trips are open to all members, regardless of their experience or qualifications. As part of the Yorkshire-based Barnsley BSAC Divers, members can join in on weekend dive trips, holidays, and various social events. Since its establishment in 1992, the club operates as a non-profit with the primary aim of diving and enjoying the BSAC motto, “Dive with Friends."

The club runs most activities at cost, benefiting everyone involved.

For newcomers, Paul has set up a try-dive package for £20. This includes renting full scuba equipment and personalised instruction from a qualified BSAC instructor—a great way to experience diving and learn the basics.

Experienced divers are also very welcome. Whether you’ve qualified with BSAC, PADI, or any other agency, the club offers a fantastic opportunity to develop and maintain your skills.

With experienced BSAC-qualified instructors at the helm, the training and dive trips are both professional and fun.
