Welcome to Barkly Street Uniting Cricket Club – TURF, a local, and social cricketing institution located in Maribyrnong, Melbourne. With a history dating back to 1925, we are one of the oldest and largest cricket clubs in the City of Maribyrnong.
Currently, we field two turf teams in the Victorian Turf Cricket Association (VTCA) and have junior teams from Under 11's upwards in the Western Region Junior Cricket Association. We also offer the Milo in2Cricket programme for children as young as seven years old.
Our club has a strong and proud history. We were initially established in the Footscray District Protestant Churches Association, which later merged with the Williamstown Churches Association to become the Western Suburbs United Churches Cricket Association. In 2003/04, we moved to the Moreland Moonee Valley Cricket Association before transitioning our top-grade teams to VTCA in 2011/12.
As you explore our website, you will discover our rich history and records. We invite you to browse through the many pages of records, photos, and news articles, whether you are a past player, a current member, or simply a cricket tragic who appreciates the nostalgia of days gone by.
At Barkly Street Uniting Cricket Club – TURF, we always welcome new players. If you're interested in joining our community, whether for competitive cricket or social camaraderie, please don't hesitate to get in touch with us. We look forward to meeting you and enjoying the game of cricket together.
