Initially, the list only included Bangladeshi players, but due to its popularity, BBFUK has expanded its scope to include players from all backgrounds. This inclusive approach ensures that matches are fair and allow players to compete against others of similar ability, thus providing everyone with an equal opportunity to win.
The dedicated team behind BBFUK consists of players, tournament organisers, club leaders, and promoters of badminton. They meet biannually to review the players' listings and make adjustments based on various criteria such as tournament performances, league performances, and general ability. The most weight is given to tournament wins, ensuring that those who consistently excel in competition are appropriately recognised.
As a part of the national network, BBFUK actively organises and participates in tournaments, league matches, and other badminton events. They also provide resources and support to players, helping them improve their skills and reach their full potential in the sport.
To ensure the accuracy of the players' listings, BBFUK requires every player to verify their details on the website. Players can simply visit the BBFUK website and click on the “Players List” tab in the navigation bar. From there, they can select their category, find their name, and click on the “Verify Details” button to open a verification form. Players are encouraged to fill in the details accurately and save the form.
After completing the verification process, players will receive an email with a “Verify Now” button to confirm their identity.
