Barker College Swimming Pool

The Barker College Swimming Pool, located in Hornsby, is an indoor swimming facility that offers a range of programmes and services for both the Barker College community and the wider public. The pool is part of the Barker Foundation Aquatic Centre, which has recently undergone a rigorous external audit and received Swim School Accreditation from Swim Australia, recognising its commitment to high industry standards.

The Aquatic Centre features multiple pools to cater to different needs. There is a heated, 17-metre length learn to swim programme pool, maintained at a comfortable 31C, which is perfect for young learners and beginners. In addition, there is an indoor, heated eight-lane 25-metre length pool, maintained at 27C, ideal for training and competitive swimming.

For those seeking an outdoor swimming experience, the Aquatic Centre also offers access to the Hornsby Aquatic Centre, which features an impressive eight-lane, 50-metre length pool, heated to 27C. This pool is exclusively available for non-Barker Squads.

The Aquatic Centre prides itself on its highly qualified and experienced staff who oversee the Learn to Swim programmes. These programmes cater to students from Pre-K to pre-squad, ensuring that all ages and skill levels are well-supported and guided in their swimming journey. The staff regularly undergo assessments to maintain their qualifications and ensure they provide the best possible instruction and supervision.
