Experience a unique ocean swim challenge at the Barge2Beach 2km Swim event during the Hervey Bay 100 Festival. Taking place on the 16th of November 2024, participants will start in open water on a boat and swim back to shore, finishing at the Hervey Bay 100 race precinct area on the beach at Scarness. Prizes will be awarded to the top 3 Male and Female swimmers. The $65 entry fee includes logistics for the 2km swim, a custom cap, and an athlete gift. Please note that this swim follows Aus Triathlon's rules, and 'swim aids' such as flippers or swim buoys are not allowed. Competitors must arrange their transport to the Urangan Boat Harbour on Saturday morning, with the barge departing at approximately 7 am. Gear drop will be available on the boat, but equipment will be taken back to the race precinct at Scarness, not immediately after your swim.
