At Barbara Roberts School of Dance, we believe in treating every pupil as an individual, tailoring their training to meet their specific needs and goals. We offer classes for all ages and abilities, starting from age 3 for children's classes and with no age limit for adult classes, because we believe that you are never too old to dance.
One of our primary focuses is ballet, as it forms the foundation for every dancer and every dance style. From a young age, we aim to instil good technique while ensuring that our students have fun and enjoy the beautiful and graceful style of ballet. Our ballet classes are available from age 3 to adult, and we also offer bbodance examinations for those who wish to pursue further advancement.
In addition to ballet, we offer a variety of other dance styles to cater to different interests and preferences. Our tap classes help develop timing, rhythm, and technique, while our musical theatre classes combine singing and dance training for a performance-based experience. We also offer contemporary, commercial, character dance, PBT (Progressing Ballet Technique), and jazz classes, each providing unique opportunities for our students to explore and excel in different dance genres.
One of the guiding principles of Barbara Roberts School of Dance is to provide performance opportunities for our students. We believe that being onstage is an essential aspect of dance education, as it helps build confidence and showcases our students' hard work and talent. We also offer opportunities to take both graded and vocational examinations, allowing our students to receive formal recognition for their achievements.
