The club's history dates back to its formation as the “Dominion Road Bowling Club” in 1908. Over the years, it has evolved and grown, changing its name to the Balmoral Bowling Club in 1931. The club has had various facilities, including croquet and tennis courts, but has exclusively focused on providing excellent lawn bowls facilities since 1943.
