Maintenance, Climbing & Abseiling, Orienteering & Map Reading, Team Building & Leadership Development, Environmental Education, and Residential Experiences. These programmes are designed to provide young people with opportunities for personal development, enhancing their confidence, self-esteem, and social skills in a supportive and challenging environment.
The BYSAC boasts a range of facilities including a climbing wall, kayaks, canoes, mountain bikes, orienteering equipment, camping equipment, and a low ropes course. The centre also has indoor facilities for workshops and group activities. The outdoor space around the centre provides ample opportunity for various outdoor activities and teambuilding exercises such as fire lighting, shelter building, and bushcraft skills.
The BYSAC actively engages with the Ballyfermot community through outreach programmes, school partnerships, and collaboration with local organisations. We aim to promote a sense of community pride and involvement through the provision of recreational activities and opportunities for personal growth and development.
Parents and guardians are encouraged to support and engage with the BYSAC by volunteering, attending events, and participating in programmes alongside their young people. This collaborative approach ensures that young people receive the necessary support and encouragement to participate fully in the activities and programmes offered by the centre.
Overall, the Ballyfermot Youth Service Adventure Centre (BYSAC) is committed to providing young people with access to positive and rewarding outdoor experiences that promote personal growth, teamwork, and environmental awareness. Through our diverse range of programmes and activities, we aim to empower young people from socially disadvantaged backgrounds to reach their full potential and become active members of their community.
